Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer

The La Crosse Technology WS-7013BZ-IT Wireless Thermometer displays both indoor and outdoor temperatures in °F or °C. Outdoor temperature is transmitted to the main unit via the included TX29U remote sensor/transmitter. The WS-7013BZ-IT records minimum and maximum indoor and outdoor temperatures in memory. For outdoor temperatures, the times of their occurrence are also recorded. The station can actually receive signals from a total of three remote transmitters. Additional remotes are optional and sold separately. This unit also has a highly accurate quartz digital clock (not an atomic clock).

The WS-7013BZ-IT temperature station features contemporary two-tone styling, requires no external wiring, and has an integral LCD clock. Just install the included remote transmitter, and get both outdoor and indoor temperatures along with the time. Install one (included) or two optional remote transmitters, and get outdoor temperature data from additional locations.

Unlike some small weather stations, the WS-7013BZ-IT simultaneously displays indoor and outdoor temperatures, so you don't have to actively select one or the other for viewing. If you're using more than one remote transmitter, you will have to select the desired channel for the outdoor temperature display. The station keeps a record of the minimum and maximum indoor and outdoor temperatures it has recorded (since the last memory reset) and, for outdoor temperatures only, the times of their occurrence. These are available at the push of a button. You can easily reset the temperature memory any time you want.
A Note on Remotes with Displays: A remote with lithium batteries should operate down to about -40°F (-40°C). However, if that remote has a display, the display will probably fade out at about 0°F (-17.8°C). This is normal behavior for liquid crystals, and the display will reappear when the temperature warms up.
The WS-7013BZ-IT is cleanly and simply styled, with a two-tone case in semi-metallic colors that are not exactly shades of silver but not exactly shades of gold, either. We'd say they fall somewhere between the two, and they look great together. An included detachable stand allows the station to be used as a freestanding unit, or it can be mounted on a wall. With its small size (under 4.5 inches tall), handsome looks, and useful features, the WS-7013BZ-IT is equally well suited to home and office environments where space is at a premium.

Because opening a blister pack renders the enclosed product unfit for resale, non-defective products whose blister packs have been opened are not returnable. Temperature indication is selectable for either °F or °C.

Station is powered by two AAA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included), with life of up to 24 months.

Low-battery condition is indicated by display becoming faint.

Remote transmitter is powered by two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included), with life of up to 18 months. For use in sub-freezing conditions, lithium AA batteries are recommended instead of alkaline.

Remote transmitter is wall-mount only.

Table stand of main unit is removable for wall mounting.
