Taylor 5822 Classic
Digital Memory Kitchen / Cooking Timer |
|
The
Taylor 5822 Classic Digital Memory Kitchen / Cooking Timer is a medium-small digital timer
with a big, bold display. The
5822 counts up to or down from 99 minutes 59 seconds for use in kitchen,
lab, laundry, darkroom, or wherever. This timer also has
a memory feature that, in countdown mode, recalls and displays the last
set time when time expires and you press a button to stop the beeping. The minutes and seconds digits
in the 5822's display are
almost 0.7 inch tall for easy reading.

Just over 3-1/4 inches wide
by 2-3/8 inches high, the Taylor 5822 Digital Timer with Memory is white with
a black bezel around the display and four gray control
pushbuttons. Most folks should have no trouble at all reading the
4-digit display because the numbers are bold and over 5/8 inch tall.

|
|
The 5822 memory timer counts down or up in 1-second
increments. When you use the 5822 as a countdown timer (for example, when
cooking), you can temporarily stop and then restart the timer by pressing
the START/STOP button. When the countdown reaches zero and the timer
beeps, pressing START/STOP to stop the beeping also recalls the last set
time, which appears in the display. You can then restart the timer, or if you want to reset to 00:00 instead,
just press RESET. On the back of the
5822
timer is a 2-way holder. When the holder is used as a spring clip, you can
attach the timer to a shirt pocket, waistband, or apron. You can
also flip out a metal bar to extend the clip, which lets you stand the
timer at an angle on a flat surface. On the back of the 5822 are also two magnets that can hold the timer to an iron or steel surface, such as a
range hood or refrigerator door. To use the magnets for mounting, you
first remove the spring clip by sliding it downward, out of the timer
case. But don't force it. Please read the note below instead.
Important Note:
The instructions for removing the spring clip don't tell you this, but
there is a small sliding lock on the right side of the clip to hold it
securely in place. You must carefully slide this lock toward the center of
the spring clip to unlock the clip before you can remove it. Since there
isn't much room for a finger even with the clip held extended by the metal
bar, you may want to use a small, blunt instrument to gently slide the
lock open and closed.
Here's something else you might want to know:
You may see this timer advertised as having an 0.8-inch LCD readout. This is the height of the LCD
panel itself, not the digits in it. As mentioned above, the digits are
actually just under 0.7 inch tall (which is still big).
The simple styling and neutral colors of
the Taylor 5822 timer will fit in with almost any
kitchen decor. The timer runs on one AAA (1.5V) battery, which is included. All you need to do to power up the
5822 is remove the battery
compartment cover, insert the battery (observing correct polarity), and then replace the cover. The
5822 is covered by a
Taylor 1-year limited warranty.

We can handle large orders
for nearly anything we have by special order, and quantity
discounts are available.
For quantities of 10 or more, or if you want more than we have in stock, please
email us at sales@partshelf.com,
we'll get back to you with price and availability. We cannot do this over
the phone as it takes time to investigate each situation.
If there is no order button, most likely there are
availability problems. We expect to be out of stock for more than a few days.
If the shopping cart page indicates that there are no units available, then we are temporarily out of stock. The item should be available in a day or two. To avoid disappointment, our
inventory control system prevents us from taking an order for something we don't have on the shelf.
