10-Key Style Kitchen / Cooking Timer

The Taylor 5820 Classic 10-Key Style Kitchen / Cooking Timer is a digital timer with a big, bold display and a telephone-style numeric keypad that allows you to set the desired time easily using just one hand. The 5820 counts down from 99 minutes 59 seconds for use in kitchen, lab, laundry, darkroom, or wherever. The minutes and seconds digits are over 0.9 inch tall for easy reading.

The Taylor 5820 Classic 10-Key Timer is sometimes called the One-Handed Timer because its telephone-type keypad lets you enter times quickly and directly with only one hand. This countdown timer is white with a silver-tone brushed metal bezel around the display and the 12 white pushbuttons. Most folks should have no trouble at all reading the 4-digit display because the numbers are bold and 15/16 inch tall.

The 5820 counts down in 1-second increments. When the 5820 is counting down, you can temporarily stop the countdown by pressing the CLEAR/STOP button. To resume the countdown, press START. When the countdown reaches zero and the timer beeps, pressing CLEAR/STOP silences the beeping.
On the back of the 5820 is a fold-out stand that allows the timer to rest at a convenient viewing angle on a flat surface. Also on the back of the timer are two magnets that can hold the 5820 to an iron or steel surface, such as a range hood or refrigerator door.

Just so you know, the front of the 5820's package indicates "Large 1.2" LCD Readout." This is the height of the LCD panel itself, not the digits in it.

The simple styling and neutral colors of the Taylor 5820 one-handed timer will fit in with almost any kitchen decor. The timer runs on two long-life G13A (1.5V) alkaline button cell batteries, which are included and preinstalled. All you need to do to power up the 5820 is remove the insulating strip that prevents battery drain during shipping by simply pulling it out. You don't even need to take the cover off of the battery compartment. The 5820 is covered by a Taylor 1-year limited warranty.
