Taylor 509 Connoisseur Candy Thermometer (Also Suitable for Deep Frying)

The Taylor 509 Connoisseur Candy / Deep Fry Thermometer ensures that the candy you're cooking or the oil you are using for deep frying has reached the proper temperature. This precision analog instrument features tough, corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction and a measuring range of 100°F to 400°F. The dial portion is 2-7/8 inches wide by 2-5/8 inches high, and the dial itself is 2-1/8 inches in diameter. Overall length is 7-3/4 inches, and the stem length is 7 inches. The sides of the case have silicone accents for easy handling.

The Taylor 509 Connoisseur Series Candy Thermometer is equally great for making candy and for deep frying. On the stem of the 509 is a clip that attaches to the side of the pan and allows you to extend the stem an appropriate distance into the pan. At least 2 inches is recommended, but don't let the tip of the stem touch the bottom of the pan. The clip is silicone coated so that it will not scratch the pan. The 509 candy thermometer is ruggedly constructed and highly accurate.

Please Note: When the Taylor 509 needs cleaning, do so with a damp cloth. Grease and other hard-to-remove soil on the metal parts can be removed with a scouring pad.

Caution: This thermometer should never be used in ovens (standard or microwave). Always wear a heat-resistant glove when touching the thermometer during or after use. Do not use a wet or damp cloth (or your bare hands).
