Taylor
1497-9 Atomic Projection Clock
and Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer |
|
The Taylor 1497-9
Atomic Projection Clock Weather Station displays extremely accurate
time, indoor
temperature, outdoor temperature, indoor humidity, and calendar
information on its large LCD display and even has a five second momentary
backlight. In addition, the 1497-9 projects the time and outdoor temperature on the ceiling or wall. This thermometer
has minimum/maximum memory and temperature and humidity alarms for indoor
and all outdoor temperatures as well as temperature trend indicators and
an integral digital atomic
radio-controlled clock with dual alarms, calendar and snooze.
|
|
|

|
Its styling
is simple, modern, and handsome. The Taylor 1497-9 is
white with light goldish-bronze colored trim surrounding
its LCD display and control buttons. On
the top section of the LCD panel, the 1497 displays the
remote/outdoor temperature from 1 to 3 locations up to
100 feet (30 meters) away. Below this, indoor
temperature and indoor humidity are shown. The bottom
two lines of the LCD display the current time in hour,
minutes, seconds, as well as the month, date, and
weekday. |
|
|
|
The outdoor temperature is transmitted to the 1497-9 from the included 1439
remote sensor, and the 1497-9 can actually work with up to three remotes
(additional remotes are optional and sold separately).
The LCD backlight and projected
time and outdoor temperature may only be shown when using the
included A/C adapter. The LCD backlight stays momentarily
illuminated for 5 seconds while the
projected display (when using the included A/C adapter) can be
set for constant or momentary projection and can be rotated 180
degrees for adequate viewing.
The 1497-9 has dual alarm functionality,
meaning two independent alarm times can be set. When the
alarm sounds, it lasts for 2 minutes, or can be set to repeat
every 10 minutes by pressing the snooze button.

Note:
This product has "atomic" clock functionality. Atomic, or Radio Controlled clocks receive
a radio signal to set themselves. Like any radio receiver however, they may not
be able to receive the signal if they are in a building with a lot of steel in
the structure, near computers or other electrical equipment that may generate
interference, or if the weather is unsuitable. The signal they receive does not
propagate well during the day. That's the nature of the signal, not the clock.
These clocks are designed to catch the signal when they can, generally in the
middle of the night, calibrate themselves, and then run quite accurately for
days until they can catch another signal. When you first put in the batteries,
they will most likely not set themselves until the middle of the night. That's
normal. By morning, weather permitting, it should be correct. Under less than
ideal conditions, it could take a few days. Daylight savings time changes may
not be made the first night if location and weather are not favorable.

 | Taylor 1439 Wireless Remote Temperature Sensor The Taylor 1439 Wireless Remote Temperature Sensor monitors the temperature at an outdoor or other remote location, displays the reading locally in its own LCD panel, and transmits the reading to an associated main unit for display at that location. The 1439 may be used as an exact replacement for the Taylor 1497. The Taylor 1439 may also be used with the 1453, 1456, 1462 and 1463 as the primary sender, or may be used as an additional remote if the main unit has multi-remote capability. The Taylor 1439 may be used with the 1458, 1506, 1507, 2751 or 2752 for additional temperature only locations. The 1439 remote can be wall-mounted or free-standing. | |
We can handle large orders
for nearly anything we have by special order, and quantity
discounts are available.
For quantities of 10 or more, or if you want more than we have in stock, please
email us at sales@partshelf.com,
we'll get back to you with price and availability. We cannot do this over
the phone as it takes time to investigate each situation.
If there is no order button, most likely there are
availability problems. We expect to be out of stock for more than a few days.
If the shopping cart page indicates that there are no units available, then we are temporarily out of stock. The item should be available in a day or two. To avoid disappointment, our
inventory control system prevents us from taking an order for something we don't have on the shelf.
