Wireless Cooking Thermometer & Timer

The Taylor 1479 Wireless Remote Cooking Thermometer is a programmable food thermometer and timer specially designed for cooking meat in an oven or on a grill. Unlike other remote cooking thermometers, the 1479 has a remote pager with three alert types, light, vibration, and sound alerts with a volume control option. The main unit has an easy-to-read bright blue LCD backlight and monitors the temperature of your food and transmits it up to 200 feet to the remote pager, allowing you to carry it virtually anywhere in your home. When you're entertaining (or just cooking for the family), the 1479 can make life a little easier for you. This thermometer has a temperature measuring range of 32°F-450°F or 0°C-232°C. The 1479 consists of two separate units and has a 6-inch stainless steel temperature probe on a 48-inch wire.

The Taylor 1479 comes with the main unit, as well as the remote pager. The main receiving unit measures 5-1/2 inches wide, 2-1/2 inches tall and is 1-1/2 inches deep. The remote pager is compact in size and measures 3-1/3 inches wide, 1-3/4 inches tall and 1-1/3 inches deep.

The main receiving unit and timer have two different signal tones to help you identify alerts, as well as 2 pre-alert signals to let you know when your food is nearing the target temperature. After food is done cooking, a completion signal is sent to the remote pager. There are 9 different meat selections and 5 doneness levels to choose from to customize the temperature alerts to your personal taste. The integral timer can time up to 39 hours, 59 minutes, and 59 seconds.
The 1479 comes included with 2-AAA batteries for the base and 2-AAA batteries for the remote pager. There are low battery indicators on both the base unit and pager and to ensure long battery life, the 1479 features auto-off functionality for both as well.
