Calibrated
Taylor 1442
Thermometer
MIN/MAX Dual Monitoring Thermometer
with NIST Traceable Calibration Certificate |
|
w/ NIST Traceable Certificate, 4-Day MIN/MAX Memory,
Dual Alarms, and Password Protection
|
|
|
Each
of these Taylor 1442
Medical-Grade Thermometers has been independently calibrated to NIST Traceable
temperature standards. Each comes with a NIST Traceable
Certificate of Calibration, with data, meeting the requirements of
ASTM E2623-08 and the recommendations of the CDC for vaccine
storage. The temperature points selected, and data provided, are
highly relevant for use in monitoring refrigerators and freezers used in
both food and medicine storage.
The 1442 has dual channels for two separate and independent temperature
measurements. Temperatures are measured and reported by two sensor probes,
each on its own 6-foot cable. Temperatures can be displayed
in °F or °C. The 1442's memory stores, and
allows you to display, the maximum and minimum temperatures for 96-hour periods for each of its two channels.

|
The Taylor 1442 Thermometer has a
moisture resistant white casing. Temperature from the left sensor probe
is displayed in the upper left portion of the LCD panel and temperature
from the right probe is displayed on the upper right. The temperature
digits are 0.6 inches tall (degree tenths are smaller at 0.3
inches).
The 1442 mounts on a wall or other vertical surface.

|
|
|
The 1442 has a two line readout LCD display that
measures 3.3 Inches in wide by 1.25 Inches tall. The top line is for temperature display and displays temperature from the left sensor probe
in the upper left portion of the LCD panel and temperature
from the right probe is displayed on the upper right. The bottom
line is for displaying the clock (24 hour format only), and the status of
the probes or the alarm event records.
The measuring range of the Taylor 1442 thermometer is
-40°F to +221°F or -40°C to +105°C in 0.1° increments. The operating
temperature range for the thermometer body is -4°F to +140°F or -20°C
to +60°C. You select °F or °C by pressing the left UP and DOWN buttons
simultaneously.
On the front of the 1442 are three control pushbuttons for each sensor
probe, SET, UP, and DOWN, as well as a password button, which allows the
user to enter a password for operational security. The 1442 does not have
an ON/OFF power button as it works once the batteries are installed and
has an LCD idle function to preserve battery life.
Pressing the SET button allows setting
target temperature points, confirming setting operation, and scrolling
alarm records. The left UP and DOWN buttons are used for scrolling through
alarm events and increasing or decreasing displayed value. In addition to the
seven control pushbuttons on the front of the unit is a small system reset
pushbutton in the battery compartment. You
can press it to reboot the 1442's microprocessor and sequence the start
time of the min/max recording periods.
For powering, the 1442 requires two AAA (1.5V)
batteries, which are included. A low-battery indicator on the display tells you when
replacement is necessary.
For more than 150 years, Taylor measurement
products have been the professional's choice for accuracy, readability,
and durability, and the 1442 is no exception. With functional, no-nonsense
styling and precision craftsmanship, the Taylor 1442 Digital Maximum/Minimum Thermometer
an
excellent choice when accurate temperature measurement via probe is
required at two separate locations in close proximity to one another. The 1442
is covered by a Taylor 1-year limited warranty.
