Indoors or out, get the time, temperature, and humidity at a glance. The Acu-Rite 50326 White Metal Clock with Thermometer and Hygrometer is a traditionally styled analog wall clock whose metal case has a gloss white finish. This big, weather-resistant clock features both an analog thermometer and an analog hygrometer on the lower half of its face. The Acu-Rite 50326 clock will look great either indoors or in a shaded location outdoors. (Mounting this clock where the sun shines on it even part-time will cause an inaccurate temperature reading and possibly an incorrect hygrometer reading.)

The Acu-Rite 50326 Clock with Thermometer and Hygrometer has a metal case with a gloss white finish. This analog wall clock's styling is quite traditional, so the integral thermometer and hygrometer are also analog dial-type. Under the flat glass lens is a white dial with black hour numbers and other graphics. The classic teardrop hands and thermo-hygrometer pointers are also black. This clock will look great in both indoor and shaded outdoor applications.

Overall diameter of the Acu-Rite 50326 is 24 inches (61 cm). The dial is 17-1/2 inches (44.5 cm) in diameter, and the Arabic hour numbers are 2-1/4 inches (57 mm) tall. The analog thermometer reads from -40°F to +120°F, and the analog hygrometer indicates relative humidity from 0 to 100 percent. The round dials of both the thermometer and hygrometer are about 4 inches (102 mm) in diameter.
On the package, the manufacturer actually calls the 50326 an "Outdoor Weather Station." You'll appreciate the fact that if the pointer on the thermometer dial moves during shipping, you can easily recalibrate the thermometer to a known accurate value. The hygrometer is factory-calibrated and should not need readjustment.
The 50326 clock uses a highly accurate quartz movement. You simply insert one AA (1.5V) battery, turn a knob to set the time, and that's all there is to clock setup. The battery is not included and must be obtained separately. We recommend using an alkaline battery. Although expected battery life is not specified, we believe from our experience with this type of clock that the battery should last at least a year.
Note on Using the 50326 Outdoors: When the temperature is expected to fall significantly below freezing, you may want to bring the 50326 indoors. This is because in low temperatures, an alkaline battery may not provide enough current to power the clock motor, in which case the clock will lose its accuracy. Alkaline batteries actually freeze at about -4°F. If you wish, you may want to try replacing the alkaline battery with a lithium battery and see how the clock operates in the cold. Lithium batteries generally work down to about -40°F/C.
