The Taylor #801
Weekend Warrior Instant Read Meat and Cooking
Thermometer is a fully NSF certified professional grade meat
and food thermometer. The Taylor 801 has a 1 1/2 inch luminescent
dial and a 5 inch stainless steel stem. |
|
|
- Instant read 0°F to 220°F
- Luminescent dial makes it easy to read
in the dark
- Safe-T-GuardTM anti-microbial
storage sleeve inhibits growth of bacteria
- Durable stainless steel stem
- Patented calibration wrench built into
storage sleeve
- Storage sleeve has a handy pocket clip,
and can be used as a handle for holding the Taylor 801
thermometer
The Taylor 801 instant read thermometer is
a probe for measuring internal meat temperature. Since it responds almost
immediately and registers from 0°F to 220 °F, it can also be used to
check the temperature of foods removed from the refrigerator or freezer
and help determine cooking times.
As the Taylor 801 meat thermometer is
designed to meet the requirements for professional food service use, it
may be tested and adjusted for ongoing accuracy. Simply place the stem
into a container filled with crushed ice and enough water to displace the
air (a thermos works best, but a glass will do), hold the stem with the
wrench built into the protective cover, and turn the head to obtain a
reading of 32°F. The use of boiling water as a calibration point can be
used as a double check, but keep in mind the boiling point of water varies
with altitude and barometric pressure, so it is not as accurate. |
|
Specifications:
- Thermometer Range: 32°F to
220°F
- Dial diameter 1 1/2 inches
- Stem length 5 inches
- Thermometer can be immersed in water,
but should not be placed in the dishwasher
Lifetime Warranty: Taylor warrants
this product to be free of defects in material or workmanship, and on
return, will repair or replace it at our option, without charge.

| *NSF
Certification: What does NSF certification mean to you? The
short answer is that NSF certification means that the design, materials,
production process and quality controls used in the production of a
product have been verified and certified for food safety by a highly
respected third party non-profit organization. NSF certification is often
required by health departments for all products used in the storage and
preparation of food. Getting, and maintaining NSF certification for a
product is an involved process, and the added quality controls can add to
the cost of the product. For this reason, you will not see the NSF
certified symbol on low quality products that are manufactured to be sold
at the lowest possible prices with little regard to safety and
accuracy.
NSF certification cannot guarantee that a
product is functioning correctly. After all, with improper use, the best
instruments can be knocked out of calibration, and NSF certification does
not in itself require that an individual instrument be tested periodically
by the user. It does mean that the product was designed and manufactured
to high standards, and if it is handled with reasonable care, will most
likely maintain accuracy.

We can handle large orders
for nearly anything we have by special order, and quantity
discounts are available.
For quantities of 10 or more, or if you want more than we have in stock, please
email us at sales@partshelf.com,
we'll get back to you with price and availability. We cannot do this over
the phone as it takes time to investigate each situation.
If there is no order button, most likely there are
availability problems. We expect to be out of stock for more than a few days.
If the shopping cart page indicates that there are no units available, then we are temporarily out of stock. The item should be available in a day or two. To avoid disappointment, our
inventory control system prevents us from taking an order for something we don't have on the shelf.
