La
Crosse Technology WS-7014CH-IT
Wireless Weather Station with Atomic
Clock
|
The
La Crosse
Technology WS-7014CH-IT Wireless Weather Station with Atomic Clock,
displays indoor and
outdoor temperature plus indoor relative humidity. It
also has a weather forecasting feature with three
indicator icons,
and an atomic clock display. |

| Finished
with a silver colored body, with real wood
trim in a warm cherry finish, the WS-7014CH-IT
has plenty of features for its modest size (about
6" tall),
including an atomic clock. In addition to
day/date/time, the station displays indoor
temperature, humidity, and comfort level; outdoor
temperature (via an included remote transmitter);
and forecasting information. The station can be used as a
free-standing unit or, with its stand removed,
it can be mounted on a wall. |

The station's incredibly
accurate radio-controlled atomic clock has day, date,
and time displays in 5/16 inch digits. The
station's clock calibrates itself to the world's
most accurate clock every night by receiving WWVB
radio transmissions. These transmissions contain
time information from the U.S. atomic clock
source, operated by the U.S. Commerce Department
near Boulder, Colorado. The built-in antenna
ensures reliable signal reception up to 2000 miles
(3200km) from the WWVB transmitter.
Time can be in either 12 or 24 hour format. The time zone may be set for
any time zone, from -12 GMT to +12 GMT. The
station's weather-forecasting feature senses
barometric pressure changes over time and adjusts the
indicator icons to provide accurate forecasts
based on pressure trends. An air pressure tendency
arrow is part of the forecast display. Another
clever feature of the WS-7014CH-IT is an indoor
comfort level indicator with happy and sad face
icons. Indoor
and outdoor temperature, and indoor humidity, are displayed in 1/4 inch
digits (degree tenths are 3/16 inch). The
station keeps a record of the minimum and maximum
indoor and outdoor temperatures and indoor
humidity it has recorded since the last time the
stored values were manually reset. Minimum and maximum temperature values,
along with date and time of occurrence, are available
at the push of a button. Minimum and maximum
indoor humidity values are also available, without time of occurrence. The temperature outdoors (or in any
other desired remote location) is transmitted to the
station by the included TX29U remote sensor. The station
can actually receive signals from a total of three
remote sensors (additional sensors are
optional and sold separately). Distance to the remote
sensor may be up to 330 feet when unobstructed, range will be somewhat
reduced by walls, trees, etc. Minimum and maximum temperature values are
also available for each additional remote. For
additional information, please see
the instruction manual. |

Note:
This product has "atomic" clock functionality. Atomic, or Radio Controlled clocks receive
a radio signal to set themselves. Like any radio receiver however, they may not
be able to receive the signal if they are in a building with a lot of steel in
the structure, near computers or other electrical equipment that may generate
interference, or if the weather is unsuitable. The signal they receive does not
propagate well during the day. That's the nature of the signal, not the clock.
These clocks are designed to catch the signal when they can, generally in the
middle of the night, calibrate themselves, and then run quite accurately for
days until they can catch another signal. When you first put in the batteries,
they will most likely not set themselves until the middle of the night. That's
normal. By morning, weather permitting, it should be correct. Under less than
ideal conditions, it could take a few days. Daylight savings time changes may
not be made the first night if location and weather are not favorable.

We can handle large orders
for nearly anything we have by special order, and quantity
discounts are available.
For quantities of 10 or more, or if you want more than we have in stock, please
email us at sales@partshelf.com,
we'll get back to you with price and availability. We cannot do this over
the phone as it takes time to investigate each situation.
If there is no order button, most likely there are
availability problems. We expect to be out of stock for more than a few days.
If the shopping cart page indicates that there are no units available, then we are temporarily out of stock. The item should be available in a day or two. To avoid disappointment, our
inventory control system prevents us from taking an order for something we don't have on the shelf.
