Wired Digital Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer with Large Backlit Display and Min/Max Memory

The Timex TX5000 Electronic Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer simultaneously displays the indoor temperature and the outdoor temperature in big, bold numbers. This compact wired digital thermometer also features a minimum/maximum memory for both temperatures and a backlight for the display. The TX5000 can be mounted on a wall or placed on a shelf, table, or desk in a location where its wired temperature probe can extend out of a window to record and transmit outdoor temperature data.

The Timex TX5000 Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer is silver in color with black sides and three gray front-panel control pushbuttons. The large 2-line LCD panel simultaneously displays the indoor and outdoor temperatures in bold digits over 1/2 inch tall (degree tenths are smaller). For night viewing, the LCD panel has a soft green LED backlight with 3-second auto-off. This unit also features a min/max memory for the two temperatures. Quite compact in size, the TX5000 is only 4 inches high by 2-1/2 inches wide by 5/8 inch deep.

The TX5000 wired thermometer monitors and displays the indoor temperature and, as reported by the included weather-resistant sensor on a 10-foot (3-meter) cord, the outdoor temperature. Temperatures can be displayed in either °F or °C, as selected by a switch on the back of the unit.
The TX5000's integral memory records maximum and minimum values for both indoor temperature and outdoor temperature. These values are available at the push of a button, and you can simply push another button to clear and reset the memory whenever desired.
The indoor temperature measuring range of the TX5000 is 14°F to 140°F (-10°C to 60°C), and the outdoor temperature measuring range is -58°F to 140°F (-50° to 60°C).
The TX5000 requires one AAA (1.5V) battery for powering. The battery is not included, and we recommend using an alkaline battery.

Extend the integral folding stand to place the TX5000 on a shelf, table, or desk, or mount the unit on a wall by means of the included mounting bracket. Attach the bracket to the wall either by two screws or by two-sided tape (both included), and snap the TX5000 into the bracket.

If you're in need of a small and inexpensive digital indoor/outdoor thermometer, the TX5000 by Timex may be the perfect choice. Despite its small size, this unit has a big, bold LCD panel that displays indoor and outdoor temperatures at the same time. Also, this thermometer has indoor and outdoor min/max temperature memory and an LCD panel backlight with auto-off.
