with Calendar and Indoor Temperature

Digital Quartz Projection Clock with Large Time Display, Month, Date, Day, Daily Alarm with Snooze, Indoor Temperature, and Backlight

The Equity 31211 Digital Projection Alarm Clock displays the time in its LCD panel and also projects the time in red numbers on the wall or ceiling. In both the LCD panel and the projected display, the time is shown as hour and minutes. The hour and minute digits on the backlit LCD panel are large at almost 1 inch tall. At a projection distance of about 6 feet, we'd estimate the height of the projected time digits as 4 to 5 inches. Below the time on the LCD panel are displayed the month, date, weekday, and indoor temperature in digits and characters about 3/8 inch tall (except tenths of a degree and °F or °C, which are smaller). This digital projection clock is designed as a free-standing unit only and cannot be wall mounted.

The Equity 31211 Projection Alarm Clock is 7-1/8 inches wide by 4 inches tall. Its plastic case is metallic titanium in color. The SNOOZE/LIGHT bar and the projection lens bezel on the top of the clock are a darker metallic gray. The LCD panel is about 4 inches wide and 2 inches tall. Displayed information includes hour and minutes in the upper line and month, date, weekday and indoor temperature in the lower line. Except for the °F/°C button, alarm mode switch, and projector controls on the back of the clock, all switches and pushbuttons are hidden under a flip-down door on the front of the clock below the display.

You'll appreciate both the quartz accuracy and the convenient features of the 31211 digital alarm clock. The time can be displayed (and projected) in 12-hour or 24-hour mode. Month and date are displayed digitally in the LCD panel, and the weekday is displayed as a 3-letter abbreviation in English. The weekday abbreviation updates automatically as the date is set. The year is displayed only during setup.
The indoor temperature can be displayed in either °F or °C, and both the temperature unit and the 12-/24-hour time mode can be changed at any time during normal operation simply by pressing buttons. You don't have to reinitiate clock setup to do this.

The 31211 has a single daily alarm with available programmable snooze. When the alarm is set to on, an alarm bell icon appears in the upper right corner of the LCD panel. You can actually set the alarm mode switch for alarm-on with or without the snooze function. When only the alarm is on, an alarm bell icon appears in the upper right corner of the display. The alarm is a 1-minute series of beeps, and when it sounds, the display backlight comes on for 8 seconds. When the snooze function is on, Zz (for snooze) appears just below the alarm bell icon. With both alarm and snooze on, pressing the SNOOZE/LIGHT bar when the alarm beeps silences the alarm and resets it to sound again. This clock actually lets you program the snooze time for any duration from 1 to 60 minutes, and the snooze function can be activated up to 3 times. Pressing the SNOOZE/LIGHT bar at any time lights the soft blue LED backlight for the LCD panel and also activates the time projection if the projector ON/OFF switch is set to ON.

The projection unit on this clock rotates 130 degrees to display the time on the wall or ceiling. A focus knob on the projection unit can be used to sharpen the projected image if needed.

To maximize battery life, the backlight and projected time have a 3 to 5-second auto-off function. If desired, the 31211 can be powered from an ac adapter, in which case time projection can be continuous when the projector ON/OFF switch is set to ON (see note below).

Important Note on Time Projection: The 31211 can operate on battery power (2 x AA) or, via an ac adapter, on 110Vac, 60Hz house current. The adapter is not included, but one can be easily obtained at almost any electronics store. You'll need an adapter that provides 3.0Vdc output at 200mA and has a female plug with center post positive.

The styling of the 31211 projection clock is modern and unfussy. One reason for this is that three pushbuttons and a switch are hidden under the flip-down door below the display. While these controls are all used in setup, two can also be used in normal operation. To temporarily display the programmed alarm time, you press the MODE button. To change the time format, you press the DOWN button.

The 31211 clock is metallic titanium in color with a darker metallic gray SNOOZE/LIGHT bar and projection lens bezel on the case top. The combination of clean styling and neutral colors allows this clock to fit in well with a variety of interior decors. As mentioned above, the clock is designed for use as a free-standing unit only. The clock is powered by two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries or by an ac adapter as described above. These are not included and must be obtained separately.

The Equity 31211 Projection Alarm Clock will wake you up in style while providing you with valuable temperature and calendar information.
