PC07B
Basketball Projection Alarm Clock
|
|
|
The Digiview PC07B
Basketball Projection Alarm Clock
makes a great gift from all of you basketball moms (and dads) for that future basketball
star on a schedule. The PC07B is styled like a professional basketball and projects the time in red
numbers on the ceiling when you push the "ball" down on its base.
The time is also displayed in the backlit LCD panel on the front of the
clock. The base of
the clock is wide and stable,
and the Basketball case portion is 4-1/2 inches in diameter. This clock
is designed for free-standing use on a nightstand, dresser, shelf, or
similar location.

Future
basketball stars on a schedule will get a real kick (no pun
intended) out of the Digiview PC07B Basketball Projection Alarm
Clock. Not only does the clock project the time in red on the
ceiling when you push down on the "ball", it also has
a backlit LCD panel that can show clock time, alarm time,
month-date, or clock seconds. The PC07B's single daily crescendo
alarm has an available 5-minute snooze function, and you can
optionally set an hourly chime to sound.
|
|
|
|
The PC07B Basketball clock
uses a highly accurate digital quartz movement (not atomic). The clock
can display the time (projected and LCD) in your choice of 12-hour (with
PM) or 24-hour format. The LCD panel actually has four display modes
that you select by pressing the MODE button on the back of the clock.
These are:
The PC07B Basketball clock's
single daily alarm sounds with a 4-minute crescendo pattern. While it is
sounding, you can press SNOOZE/ LIGHT on the top of the clock to quiet
the alarm for a 5-minute snooze period, or you can press SET on the back
of the clock to turn off the alarm for 24 hours, after which it will
sound again unless you disable it. The PC07B also has an available hourly
chime.
The PC07B Basketball clock
can be powered from two AAA batteries.
With battery power, the projection is temporary and is activated by
pressing SNOOZE/LIGHT on the top to push the ball down on
its integral base. The projector lens is in the black pentagon just in
front of SNOOZE/LIGHT. The projected image remains bright for 3 seconds and then, instead
of going off suddenly, gradually fades to darkness. This is the first time we've
seen a projection clock's time image fade this way, and it's pretty
cool. The projection range of the PC07B is not specified, but we tested it and we'd say it's easily 7 to 8
feet. With either battery or adapter powering, pressing the ball down
lights the soft green backlight for the LCD panel for 5 seconds. The LCD
digits are about 1/2 inch tall.
You'll find that the Digiview
PC07B Basketball Projection
Alarm Clock is easy to set up and use. Two buttons, MODE and SET,
do it all. While we know that most basketball kids will really enjoy the
Basketball clock, we also think that it will make a lighthearted and fun
gift for players and fans of any age who are serious about basketball.
