Creek 70106 Ceylon
Tambour Table Clock

The Wooden Occasional family
of table clocks by Stoney Creek Trading Co. features traditional styling
and real wood construction, and the Stoney Creek 70106 Ceylon Tambour
Table Clock is no exception. This clock has a walnut-finished case
with a woven wicker insert that covers the top of the clock. The
bezel is dark nickel, and the dial is cream with black Arabic numbers
and black hour, minute, and second hands. A glass lens protects the
dial. Medium in size at 13-1/2 inches wide by 6-1/2 inches high, the
Ceylon will fit nicely on many tables and shelves in homes and offices
alike. You might even want to use the Ceylon as a mantel clock if the
mantel is not too large.

The Stoney
Creek 70106 Ceylon Tambour Table Clock features real wood
construction with a rich walnut finish accented by a woven
wicker insert over the top of the clock. The bezel is dark
nickel, and the dial is cream with black numbers and hands. The
protective lens is glass. Not quite as large as some tambour
clocks we've seen, the Ceylon is ideal for table or shelf use in
homes and offices with traditional decor. And if you have a
fireplace mantel that's not too big, the Ceylon could even be
used there. |

The movement in the Ceylon is a conventional analog quartz movement. Thus, this clock
is not "atomic" and does not adjust automatically for Daylight
Saving Time, but it is extremely accurate.
For powering, the Ceylon clock requires one AA (1.5V) battery, which is not
included. We
recommend an alkaline battery because alkaline cells are far less
prone to leakage than the carbon-zinc type, and their leakage is
far less corrosive. Expected battery life is about 1 year.
