Acu-Rite 00915 Tire Clock
14-Inch Analog Wall Clock

A new-for-2005 clock line for Acu-Rite is Automotive Clocks, and one of these is the Acu-Rite 00915 Tire Clock. The clock's package indicates "Performance Clock," and this is an apt description. The clock is styled as a low-profile, high-performance tire on a sporty alloy wheel, through which you can see a drilled disc brake rotor and the brake caliper. Behind this is a burgundy clock dial with gray numbers and silver markings. The three hands are shaped like mechanics' tools, the most obvious being the hex wrench-shaped hour hand. While there's no brand name or logo on the tire sidewall, there is the size: 245/40ZR/18, definitely a serious tire. The 00915 Tire Clock is an indoor clock. We can think of lots of places to hang it, both in the home and in automotive-related businesses. Serious gearheads may even want to use the Tire Clock in their offices.

If you're an automotive enthusiast, chances are you'll get a real kick out of the Acu-Rite 00915 Tire Clock. Its design incorporates a low-profile, high-performance tire, a light alloy wheel, a drilled disc brake rotor, the brake caliper, and three tool-shaped hands. There's even a "chrome" valve stem and lug nuts on the wheel. Behind all of this is the burgundy clock dial. A flat plastic lens protects the clock hands, wheel, brake components, and dial.. The 00915 is designed for indoor use. We know you'll find of plenty of places to hang it, both in the home and in automotive-related business offices and workplaces.

The 00915 Tire Clock has an overall diameter of 14 inches and a dial diameter of 8-3/4 inches. It is designed to hang on an interior wall or other vertical surface. The clock's unique wheel, tire, and brake design is casual, fun, and certain to attract attention no matter where you use the clock.

The 00915 uses a highly accurate analog quartz movement. You simply insert one AA (1.5V) battery into the clock, turn a knob to set the time, and that's all there is to clock setup. The battery is not included and must be obtained separately. We recommend an alkaline battery. Although expected battery life is not specified, we believe from our experience with this type of clock that the battery should last a year or more.
