Acu-Rite
02002
Wireless
Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer
|
|
Acu-Rite
took a new approach with the Acu-Rite 02002 Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer. They asked their customers what information they
most often wanted from their instruments, and created an instrument that
displayed that information prominently at the top of the display,
available at a glance. The result is the Acu-Rite 02002, with outdoor
temperature displayed in large, bold characters at the top of the unit.
|
|
|
The
Acu-Rite 02002 is finished in black with silver trim. Outdoor temperature
is displayed prominently at the top, with additional data
displayed below. The Acu-Rite 02002 stands about 5 inches
tall and 3 1/2 inches wide. The unit can stand alone
with it's stand attached, or hang on the wall with the stand
removed..

Features at a glance:
- Indoor/Outdoor Temperature
- Daily High Low Temperature
- Self setting, high accuracy atomic
clock
- Large, Easy to Read Display
- Powerful Wall Penetrating Signal
Upper Display. Outdoor temperature is
prominently displayed in the upper display window in bold, highly
readable1 inch characters. You may choose temperature in °F or
°C. Also displayed in the upper window are a
signal strength display, indicating the strength of the signal received
from the remote wireless temperature sensor. Displayed below this are
the high
and low outdoor temperatures reached within the last 24 to 48 hours, in
1/4 inch characters.
Lower Display. Atomic Time is displayed in
1/3 inch digits, along
with a WWVB signal strength indication, and indoor
temperature digits at 3/4 inches tall. The Acu-Rite 02002 has Atomix clock functionality. The
02002 can receive WWVB radio broadcasts carrying timing information from the
US atomic clock source in Colorado. As long as the WWVB signal reaches
the 02002, the time display will be accurate to a fraction of a second,
and DST changes will be automatic (DST changes may be optionally
disabled).
| The 02002 comes with a wireless remote
temperature sensor. Normally, the sensor can be
powered by two AA Alkaline batteries. If the
outdoor temperature drops below -4 °F in your location, it is recommended that you
use Lithium batteries, as Alkaline batteries are not reliable at
low temperatures. |

Note:
This product has "atomic" clock functionality. Atomic, or Radio Controlled clocks receive
a radio signal to set themselves. Like any radio receiver however, they may not
be able to receive the signal if they are in a building with a lot of steel in
the structure, near computers or other electrical equipment that may generate
interference, or if the weather is unsuitable. The signal they receive does not
propagate well during the day. That's the nature of the signal, not the clock.
These clocks are designed to catch the signal when they can, generally in the
middle of the night, calibrate themselves, and then run quite accurately for
days until they can catch another signal. When you first put in the batteries,
they will most likely not set themselves until the middle of the night. That's
normal. By morning, weather permitting, it should be correct. Under less than
ideal conditions, it could take a few days. Daylight savings time changes may
not be made the first night if location and weather are not favorable.

We can handle large orders
for nearly anything we have by special order, and quantity
discounts are available.
For quantities of 10 or more, or if you want more than we have in stock, please
email us at sales@partshelf.com,
we'll get back to you with price and availability. We cannot do this over
the phone as it takes time to investigate each situation.
If there is no order button, most likely there are
availability problems. We expect to be out of stock for more than a few days.
If the shopping cart page indicates that there are no units available, then we are temporarily out of stock. The item should be available in a day or two. To avoid disappointment, our
inventory control system prevents us from taking an order for something we don't have on the shelf.
