Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer

The Acu-Rite 00831 Wireless Min/Max Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer is perfect for those who want a simple, easy-to-read device that gives them the current indoor/outdoor temperatures as well as minimum/maximum temperatures in big bold digits. Since the 00831 doesn't have all of the extra features, there is more space on its 4-section LCD panel for larger easy-to-read digits giving you the indoor and outdoor temperature information with just a glance. The 00831 has an outdoor temperature measuring range of -40°F to 158°F.

The very compact Acu-Rite 00831 is black with gray trim surrounding its LCD display. Its styling is simple, modern, and handsome. On both the top and bottom sections of the LCD panel, the indoor/outdoor temperatures are shown in large 3/4 inch digits. On the center of the display, the minimum and maximum temperature history is shown in 1/2 inch digits.

At only 2-1/2 inches wide by 5-1/2 inches tall, the 00831 fits comfortably almost anywhere, including crowded desks and small nightstands. The unit's LCD panel measures just under 1-1/2 inches wide by 3-1/3 inches high.
The 00831 monitors and displays the indoor temperature plus the outdoor temperature in up to three locations by means of the included remote sensor and one or two additional remote sensors, which are are optional and sold separately. The remote sensors can transmit up to 100 feet (30 meters) in an open area with no interference. On the main unit, temperatures can be displayed in either °F or °C, as selected during setup. The main unit displays a temperature trend arrow (rising, steady, or falling) for each outdoor/remote channel temperature.
The 00831 requires two AA (1.5V) alkaline batteries, and the included remote requires two AA (1.5V) alkaline or lithium (recommended) batteries.
