Acu-Rite 00827 Weather Forecaster
w/ Indoor Outdoor Thermometer

The Acu-Rite 00827 Wireless Weather Forecaster is unlike many other weather forecasters. The 00827 provides you with a visually appealing and fun way to see the future weather forecast at a glance, with its graphic weather-man forecast icon whose different outfits provide clothing recommendations for up to 9 different weather conditions. The Acu-Rite 00827 also provides you with a separate future forecast icon, outdoor temperature, as well as indoor temperature, indoor humidity, weather trend indicators, MIN/MAX records, low battery indicators, and the current time and date.

The 00827 has a semi-metallic bronze finish surrounding its LCD display, which measures 3.5 inches tall by 2-1/3 inches wide.

Starting with the upper left of the 00827, we have the weather trend arrow indicators. Below this, the current time and numeric date are shown, as well as the outdoor temperature in large digits just over a half of an inch tall. The indoor temperature and humidity are displayed on the bottom of the LCD panel. Lastly, the weather-man is most prominently displayed to the right of all the weather data at a full 2-1/3 inches tall.

The included wireless sensor can function from up to 100 feet away from the main unit and it has a temperature measuring range of -40°F to 158°F (-40°C to 70°C). There are 2 placement options for the wireless sensor. You may hang it on a wall using one of the two integrated hang holes, or use string (not included) to hang it from a suitable locations like a well covered tree branch.

The weather-man graphical icon automatically shows on of 20 different clothing recommendations to help you prepare for the day. This recommendation is based on an advanced algorithm which takes current temperature and forecasted weather conditions into consideration. Examples of the clothing recommendations (from colder to warmer) are:

Hat, scarf, gloves, heavy coat, long pants, boots

Hat, light jacket, long pants, boots

Sweatshirt, long pants, shoes

T-shirt, long pants, shoes

Sunglasses, t-shirt, shorts, shoes

The future forecast feature automatically gives you the predicated weather forecast icon for the next 12 to 24 hours based on an advanced algorithm that analyzes barometric pressure changes and temperature. This weather forecaster will provide the most accurate forecast that a single station instrument can provide. The different forecast icons are:

Rain or snow (severe weather conditions are forecasted when flashing)

Stormy

Mostly Cloudy

Partly Cloudy

Mostly Sunny

The "Weather Trend" directional arrow icon will indicate one of three barometric pressure trend directions. This will give an additional indication of future weather conditions. This forecaster features a MIN/MAX memory feature which records the MINIMUM and MAXIMUM outdoor temperature and indoor temperature/humidity readings. It also features a patented fourteen day learning mode calibration process to ensure great accuracy.
